STONEPRONA (1994 - 1999)
Stoneprona takes
us back in time, a bit. The band made its debut in July, 1994 at a backyard
party in Wheaton and performed for the last time on May 1, 1999 at Champaign's
101 Armory. The quartet featured fellow former Casa Solanian Greg Dressel
on guitar, the competant bass work of Bob Ston, the vocal and guitar stylings
of Mike Sapiro, and the over-drumming and vocal harmonies of TP. Considering the
band existed intermitantly for nearly five years, not many recordings exist
for Stoneprona. The group did organize in February 1999 to record six songs at White
Street Laboratories. A sample of that session is now available
for the first time on tomperona.com.

In November 1995,
a friend introduced Tom to Gregg Barker of Fish Club Studios in downtown Wheaton.
Seventeen year old Tom couldn't believe such a place existed in Wheaton. Needless to say, he became
friends with Gregg and spent a lot of time in that studio. The first project
Tom worked on at Fish Club was Stoneprona's Book of Barnabee. It was recorded
from November '95 through the following April. At the time, it seemed quite
the accomplishment to record and press a CD...the fifty minute
album is here summarized into one short clip. Click below to listen.
